Venezuelans are celebrating their fifth victory in the Miss Universe pageant.

Some Venezuelans shouted and cheered in Caracas on Sunday night while watching on television as 22-year-old Dayana Mendoza was crowned in Vietnam.

Longtime Miss Venezuela pageant president Osmel Sousa said he’s proud Venezuela has won its fifth Miss Universe title.

“She was very sure of herself. She isn’t afraid of the public. She was on the stage like it was nothing,” Sousa told the Venezuelan television channel Venevision from Vietnam. “She was a little nervous, but not as much as the others. She knew how to win over the public her with her sympathy and her simplicity. On top of that, she looked beautiful on stage,” he said.

Mendoza, who beat out runner-up Miss Colombia, was once kidnapped in her homeland and says the experience taught her to remain poised under pressure.

Beauty is a national obsession in Venezuela, and its contestants are regularly among the finalists in Miss Universe. Venezuela last won Miss Universe in 1996, when Alicia Machado took the crown.

Fear Factor- IDEA Khatron Ke Khiladi will be hosted by Bollywood’s ultimate action hero Akshay Kumar. The show takes the game to the highest level of physical and mental challenge, making it more gritty and edgy than ever before. Another attraction of ‘Fear Factor – Khatron Ke Khiladi’ is going to be the 13 Bollywood beauties, who will compete with each other, to be the last-one-standing. A study has revealed that women are fast losing interest in sex.

And this has been revealed by a number of 40-something men. Loss of libido in women, or low sexual desire, is the most common sexual problem for members of the fair sex and the major reason why they seek sex therapy. It affects upto 33 per cent to 67 per cent of women, depending on how sexual desire is defined and reported. And men aren’t beyond this too. But since it only affects about half as many men as women, it is nowhere close to men’s top sex problems.

Loss of Libido

Sexual desire is one of the most difficult factors to define for the simple reason that it is more psychological than physiological. Loss of libido refers to a lack of interest in sex for a prolonged period. Most women are conscious of this feeling. And unfortunately, many of these ladies don’t like the idea of confessing it to their husbands.

Normal in women?

It is important to understand that the loss of libido is not a disorder. How can it be a dysfunction if one-third of all women, no matter what their age, report that they lose interest in sex? Low sexual desire is an understandable result of an imbalance in your life. It may root to your relationship, your stress, or simply, changes in your body.

Secondly, just because loss of libido in women is common, it doesn’t mean you can’t fix it.

Even worse, losing interest in sex can mean you miss out on a lot more than simply one of life’s few non-fattening pleasures. It can begin to drain the passion out of the rest of your life, as well.

Causes of loss of libido

Biology: Sex can have serious consequences for women – a baby for starters, to take care of for the next twenty years. Not surprising that females seem hard-wired to approach sex with slightly less abandon than males do.

Social conditioning: The messages women get from society with its double standards and attitudes towards sex, have a big affect on their sexual desire. Even with adult women who’ve been exposed to the Sex And The City culture, there is still a social conditioning prevalent that men are ‘studs’ if they are sexual, while women are ‘sluts’.

Quality of relationship: For women, desire is strongly elicited to the relationship. “If we don’t talk and connect, we don’t have sex,” they often say. It’s not what happens in the bedroom – their desire arises when they are interacting with their partner. If the quality of those intimate but non-sexual contacts aren’t being attended to, most women just won’t feel “in the mood.”

Hormones: Hormonal fluctuations with pregnancy, breast-feeding, and then with menopause a little later in life all can lessen desire to some extent.

Medications: Depression and the anti-depressants used to treat it can also inhibit desire. So also can certain blood pressure-lowering drugs. Conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids and thyroid disorders can also be a cause.

Life stages: Life changes – especially the birth of a child – can cause a loss of libido in women. It often occurs to women in their 20s with a child under five or six – their lack of interest doubles and triples. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out – physical stress and fatigue are also considered big factors.

That Amar Akbar Anthony will be remade is old news now. The Khan brothers — Salman, Arbaaz and Sohail — will reprise the roles made famous by Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Khanna and Rishi Kapoor.

The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Katrina Kaif has joined the cast, and will be seen in Parveen Babi’s role.

This will be the second time that Salman and Katrina will romance each other on screen — the first time being in the hit, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.

Sohail Khan has bought the rights of Manmohan Desai’s 1977 blockbuster.

The new version will be directed by David Dhawan. It is likely to go on air early next year, after Salman completes his film, Veer, with Anil Sharma.

Those of you who have seen the film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na could not have missed the guy who played Genelia D’Souza’s love interest. If Ayaz Khan looked familiar, it is because he has done more than 100 television commercials and 250 press advertisements!

And now with the film’s success, he has become even more visible. “I am getting messages from my well wishers, friends and even from people I do not know, congratulating me on my performance. I am very lucky that people liked my role,” says a beaming Ayaz.

Ayaz plays the role of Sushant, Aditi’s (Genelia) boyfriend, who is known as Mr Charming amongst his friends. “It was a challenge to portray a character which starts off as a happy-go-lucky character but slowly takes a serious turn developing attributes like possessiveness and some other gray shades,” says Ayaz, who is also doing a show on Star One titled Dlil Mill Gayee where he plays a doctor.

“My role in this show is more of a comic character. A doctor who is romantic — quite different from my character in Jaane Tu,” he adds.

But how did he bag the prized role in Aamir Khan’s production?

“When I came to know that Abbas (Tyrewalla) was directing a film, I sought an appointment and went over to meet him. After an initial discussion, we instantly hit it off and he selected me for the role of Sushant. He is a fantastic writer and an excellent director to work with,” Ayaz says.

So how was his experience working with a perfectionist like Aamir?

“Before I started shooting for the movie, Aamir briefed me on the role and its significance despite a late entry in the movie. He described his expectations from me and also explained how to act in some scenes. I tried my best to follow his directives and meet his expectations. After the movie got over, we met at the premiere. He patted me on my back and said I did a fantastic job. That, to me, was a big compliment,” recollects Ayaz who wants to continue being the guy next door despite his growing star status.

Baseball star Alex Rodriguez’s estranged wife Cynthia is threatening to release the text messages he sent to Madonna in a bid to prove that he was in love with her.

The 34-year-old has hit the New York Yankee star with a whopping 50 million pounds divorce suit, and claims that she has texts that will prove A-Rod’s relationship with Madge.

A source revealed that the steamy messages were what convinced Cynthia about her hubby’s feelings for the singer, and added that if they were released, then the divorce could quickly get very ugly.

‘They were instrumental in convincing her that he was besotted,’ The Sun quoted a source, as saying.

‘The messages could be released if things get really ugly.’

However, Cynthia’s lawyers have stated that the relationship between A-Rod and Madge was not sexual, rather ‘an affair of the heart.’

Madonna, in the meantime, has furiously denied claims about the affair.
